Although, it WAS my good fortune, to discover an art teacher who not only was truly brilliant and surprisingly well educated in the classics and history, but was also a photographer and a mechanical genius.  He could build anything with nothing and make it work.  His strong intellectual and creative influence not withstanding, I graduated to a college commensurate with my less-than-stellar high school performance. By another stroke of good fortune, and through no planning whatsoever, I chanced to meet another amazing person: the chair of the philosophy department at Windham College and one of the foremost authorities on ancient Greek philosophy.  He taught me that questioning isn’t enough, it’s only a good start.  “You have to think, Michael - and order your observations toward resolution, no matter the subject or situation.” And here I am: several million miles, numerous executive titles, and dozens of places later, in Southern New York, ….talking to you.  …………………………..  Astonishing.
